Cubs Opening Day

March 30th

Another year around the sun and we’re excited for a new season of baseball!

The Cubs opening day is taking place on Thursday, March 30 against the Milwaukee Brewers! So be there or be square.

Dine Out on Broadway

Dine Out is coming back for the 3rd season and we’re excited!

Dine out On Broadway brings you the best outdoor dining experiences from 25+ restaurants and food establishments along Broadway from Belmont to Wellington, amazing weather (fingers crossed) and good vibes!

So mark your calendars, gather your friends and get ready for an amazing summer ahead!

Belmont Sheffield Music Festival

May 27 – 28

One of the first of many Windy City outdoor festivals, this iconic street party in the Lakeview neighborhood takes place just steps from the Belmont El stop. Music highlights of this weekend happening include main-stage performances by several of the region’s favorite tribute bands. Then there are deejays, karaoke shows, and fun acts that entertain visitors on a second stage. Beyond music, there’s plenty of food, beer, wine, and the handiwork of city and regional artists!

Lakeview East Festival

of the Arts

September 9th and 10th

The Lakeview East Festival of the Arts is Chicago’s premier fine art festival showcasing over 125 juried artists. The festival has been rated #1 Fine Arts Festival in Chicago, and #2 in the state of Illinois by AFSB. Each year the festival attracts over 45,000 attendees from all around Chicago, northwestern suburbs as well as patrons from all around the country. Every aspect of the festival, from artists to musicians to vendors and everything in between, is specifically selected by the Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce in order to bring the best to the heart of Lakeview.

The Lakeview East Festival of the Arts features paintings, sculptures, photography, furniture, jewelry, and more. These original pieces are for sale in a wide range of price ranges. In addition to the art, the Festival has become a center of activity for the weekend with live demonstrations, entertainment stages, family activities, local food and refreshments, and an iconic garden oasis.

Oktoberfest

September 28 – 30

We are excited to announce we will be hosting our Second Annual Oktoberfest! Dance to live music, indulge in food from our vendors, and of course sip on some cold beer. We’ll even have some activities for the kids, so bring them along!

Little Monster’s Crawl

October 29th

Stores and businesses all over the neighborhood have treats for little monsters dressed up in Halloween costumes! Time and locations of participating businesses pending.

Giver’s Gift

November 1st – December 21st

The Lakeview East Giver’s Gift Promotion is back for the 27th year, with more businesses than ever before! We will be partially virtual this year, meaning – receipts can be emailed to us or brought into the office. Be sure to collect all your receipts from the neighborhood starting November 1st!

2022 Annual Meeting

May 10th 6:00PM – 8:00PM | Old Crow Smokehouse

At the Lakeview East Annual Meeting, we celebrate the successes of the previous year and present future plans. At the Annual Meeting we also present and vote the new Board of Directors. This event is a great opportunity to learn more about the Chamber, mingle with other businesses and get involved in upcoming chamber initiatives.

Pride Parade

On 6/26 join us at the Pride Parade on the North side of Chicago. The parade spans from Uptown, moving South through Lakeview and ending in Lincoln Park. The Chamber hosts an Annual VIP Viewing Party and has a float featuring local businesses. Click here for pictures from the last Parade!

First Annual Adopt and Shop!

June 18th from 11 AM to 3 PM

Shop along Broadway and receive discounts and specials. We’ll have fun booths along the route so you can get a portrait of your furry friend, finally take a good family picture, shop some of the cutest boutique pet supplies and even grab treats for both you and your pup!

Kick off Juneteenth Celebrations at Irie Jerk Bar and Grill

Jamaica and the USA unite to celebrate 157 years of freedom. Come out and Support an independent black-owned business in Wrigleyville-Lakeview

Experience authentic flavors of Jamaica with a buffet and the sounds of two of Chicago’s best reggae performers Devon Brown & Baby J and Golden Street Reggae Band. Dance the night away in their newly renovated space and dine on some of Irie’s signature dishes such as Jerk Chicken, Curry Chicken, Irie Cabbage, Red Beans and Rice, Callaloo and top it off with their specialty Rum Punch!

First instituted during the COVID-19 pandemic to support local restaurants unable to host customers for indoor dining, the Dine Out program was a hit with residents and restaurants alike. 25+ restaurants and food establishments along Broadway from Belmont to Wellington. There are also a few communal tables set up for those who would like to enjoy carry-out.

Join us the first weekend in October for our first ever Oktoberfest event! Dance to live music, indulge in food from our vendors, and of course sip on some cold beer. We’ll even have some activities for the kids, so bring them along!
Located at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in the East Parking Lot.
Happening on October 1st and 2nd from 11 am to 10 pm on both days.
VIP Opening Night will be on September 30th from 6 to 10 pm!

Join us November 22nd from 5:30 to 6:30 at our holiday tree located in the Walgreens Parking Lot at Broadway and Waveland for some caroling, hot cocoa, free candy canes, pictures with Santa, and even a special appearance from Anna, Elsa & Olaf! We will officially light the tree at 6PM! Then, join us for the tree lighting after party at F.O’Mahony’s where Santa will be giving free treats & a drink to the first 30 people! We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
