Happy Pride Month! In June, everything is a little more colorful, music and life fill the streets and we honor our neighborhood and all of our vibrant LGBTQ+ businesses. We are proud to support our local neighborhood businesses that contribute so much to the LGBTQ+ community, and we’ve compiled a list of all the amazing specials to help you celebrate Pride Month locally.
Party in Northalsted
Northalsted is home to the best LGBTQ+ bars in the city. Sing karaoke, catch a drag show, play bar games, or just relax before at these community staples!

Lark is a friendly and fun restaurant perfect for date night, groups, weekday dinner or weekend brunch. At Lark, everyone is welcome. Bobby Love’s | 3729 N Halsted St
Come spread the love at Bobby Love’s! This friendly neighborhood bar is just blocks away from Wrigley Field, and they host daily specials and have the best weekend karaoke. Their open until 2 am every night, and are open until 3 am on Saturdays!

The Chicago Diner has not only been meat free since 1983, they’ve also been proud advocates for the gay community since opening their doors. This plant-based diner is donating profits from the limited edition Pride Drink Menu to Advocates for Trans Equality!

The Closet

Having been open since 1978, this tiny, unpretentious lesbian & gay bar features dancing, games & karaoke! Open till 4 am every day (and till 5 am on Saturdays) The Closet keeps the party going on Broadway.

In his early 20s, Thomas Tunney bought Lake View’s venerable Ann Sather Restaurant in 1981, expanded it, and has made it into a virtual community center for lesbian and gay Chicagoans and older adults. Still standing strong 43 years later, Ann Sathers is a Chicago staple with three locations, two of which are in Lakeview East!

Located at 3347 N Broadway, this Antique shop is loaded with gorgeous antqiues that any collector could admire! Stop by and pick up something beautiful for your home, or as a great gift.

Unlike many Chicago speakeasies, Buzzed does not go to great lengths to hide its dual identity. It is simply a hair salon that also boasts a beautiful craft cocktail bar. During the day, patrons can sip original or classic cocktails made with only fresh ingredients and premium spirits while getting their hair done, or they can just sit at the bar without committing to a hair appointment. After the salon closes, the curtains are drawn, the lights are dimmed, and the music is turned up, transforming the space into a late-night cocktail lounge.

PRIDE PARADE AND PRIDE FEST

The 54th annual Chicago Pride Parade is on Sunday, June 29th this year! It will kick off at 11 a.m. from Sheridan and Broadway and march through Chicago’s landmark LGBTQ+ Northalsted neighborhood. This year’s theme is United in Pride. “This year’s theme reflects the powerful spirit of unity, resilience, and love that defines the LGBTQ+ community and its allies. More than just a parade, “United in Pride” is a call to action—an opportunity to come together, embrace diversity, and continue the fight for equality.” Learn more about this year’s parade on Pride Chicago’s website here! Also, at the parade, be on the lookout for our Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce float!

Pride Fest: Hosted by the Northalsted Business Alliance, this epic two-day extravaganza transforms Chicago’s Northalsted neighborhood into a vibrant celebration of love and diversity. Each year, nearly 60,000 spirited partygoers descend upon Chicago’s proudest neighborhood to join in the festivities. Expect three electrifying music stages with top-notch headliners, over 100 arts and crafts vendors showcasing their creativity, mouthwatering eats from local hotspots, dazzling drag shows, pulsating DJ sets, non-stop dancing, and so much more. It’s the ultimate pride party you can’t miss.
