This winter, we honor the unsung heroes that make Lakeview East so special. Let’s raise a glass to our beloved havens—places where we escape life’s harsh realities, share a few laughs (or tears) with good friends and friendly strangers, and truly be ourselves. Our local dive bars are more than just watering holes—they’re where comfort meets camaraderie, where laughter flows as freely as the drinks, and where community bonds are forged over unforgettable memories. Join us for the Dive Bar Classic, a heartfelt celebration of the local gems that make Lakeview East the wonderful neighborhood we all love.

From February 17th to March 2nd, join us in celebrating 8 iconic dive bars that capture the spirit of our neighborhood. For two weeks, each venue will host unique specials that showcase their distinct character—from picklebacks to Chicago handshakes. Embrace the casual, free-spirited atmosphere and cheers to the classic.

At each dive listed above, you will find a poster with the Lakeview East Dive Bar Classic logo on it, along with a QR code. Scan the QR code and upload a photo of yourself and the drink or food you purchased during your visit! After submitting photos proving you went to all 8 bars, shoot us an email and we will coordinate when to come pick up your FREE t-shirt!

Who can participate? Anyone! As long as you are 21+, you have two weeks to visit all eight places and submit your photos. You do NOT need to visit and upload all 8 photos at once. However, in order to qualify, you must submit all photos under the SAME NAME AND EMAIL ADDRESS.

I submitted All 8 Photos, Now What? After you’ve visited all 8 bars and submitted all your photos, send an email to Marketing@Lakevieweast.com with your full name, and what size t-shirt you want, and you’ll get a response on when to come pick up your free awesome tee! Please keep in mind, that the shirts are LIMITED QUANTITY, including the shirt sizes. They will be distributed at first come first serve basis.

Where will the t-shirt pick-up be? At the Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce office, located at 3138 N Broadway.

You’re going to be out and snapping photos anyway, so why not up the ante a bit? Our friends at Old Style have donated some amazing prizes we will be giving away to people who submit the most creative, dedicated, or funniest in the following categories.

Best Photo with an Old Style beer will win a Old Style Cooler

Best Group Photo will win TWO tickets to any Salt Shed show of their choosing (as long as it isn’t sold out)

Most Creative photo taken in any of the participating bars will win an Old Style Golf Bag

To enter the photo contest, you will just scan the same QR code that will be at every bar, and choose “Photo Contest” when submitting your photo! Yes, it really is that easy to score these awesome prizes.
