Fourth of July falls on a Saturday this year, which gives us the right to party all weekend long. From beachfronts, drag shows, BBQs, and a hot dog eating contest, we gathered some of the best events happening this weekend in Lakeview East!
Restaurant Celebrations
Merica Weekend Madness at Kirkwood Bar & Grill:
Kirkwood has one of the most popular patios in Lakeview. Come sip these Fourth of July specials all weekend long, from Thursday to Sunday! They’ll have DJs spinning on Friday & Saturday.
$2.50 Hot Dogs at Clark Street Dog
Open until 2 am, Clark Street Dog is selling hot dogs for just $2.50! You can also get a Clark Street Dog, Large Fry, and choice of 5 draft beers for just $13.50.
Party all Weekend at Kincades Wrigleyville:
This is the first Fourth of July Kincade’s Wrigleyville has been open for, so they are celebrating all weekend! Opening at 10 am Thursday, Friday, Saturday and at 11 am on Sunday, you are invited to soak up fun all day long. Free hot dogs 1 hour before and 1 hour after every Cubs Home Game, $1 beers on Thursday, $5 Guinness all weekend, $8 Northsider Thursday – Sunday, and sound on for all the world cup matches! Also, pro tip, they sell $12 32oz Absolut Vodka Lemonades all day, every day.
After Fireworks Party at Duffy’s Tavern & Grille:
Looking for something to do after the fireworks? Duffy’s is open till 3 am on the Fourth! Play pool, darts, pop-a-shot, and listen to a live DJ!
Afternoon Happy Hour at Graystone Tavern
In celebration of the 250th Anniversary of Independence, Graystone is selling corn dogs, domestic drafts, and apple pie shots for $2.50 on the Fourth, from noon to 4 pm. Other specials include $4 American Lemonades, $13 Eagle Rare mules, $17.76 Domestic Buckets, and a corn hole ross to win a $50 gift card!
Sip Margs on the Giant Barcocina Patio
This 4th, leave the cooking to Barcocina. Barcocina Lakeview is open all day, slinging margaritas and tacos while you do literally nothing. Not to mention, they have one of the biggest patios in the neighborhood!
Hot Dog Eating Contest at The River
Nothing says America like a hot dog eating contest. The River is hosting a party on July 4th, with a hot dog eating contest starting at 2 pm. The party goes all day
Drew’s On Halsted Open All Day
Drew’s is open all day on the Fourth! From 10 am to 3 pm, they have $49 bottomless champagne brunch! That price also includes an entree, and is for 90 minutes. They will also be open for dinner from 4 to 10 pm, serving their full dinner meu. Make reservations here
4th Of July Pig Roast at Smoke Daddy Wrigley
Smoke Daddy is hosting a 4th of July pig roast buffet before the Cubs take on the Cardinals, complete with beer, baseball, and whole hog BBQ! Menu includes baby back ribs, pulled pork, chicharrónes, mac & cheese, beans, coleslaw, wrightwood salad, and more. $40 per guest | all ages welcome!

Located right down the street from the ballpark, Almost Home Tavern is hosting some homerun specials. Since the Cubbies are playing at home Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Almost Home Tavern is hosting their game day specials: $23 Twisted Tea Pitchers, $12 Gringo Nachos, and $6 Dirty Monkey Shots!

HVAC DJ Party
It’s always lit at HVAC in Wrigley, and this Fourth of July is no exception. Starting at 11 pm, watch back to back DJs, with no entry fee!
Stolen Saddle
Join the hoedown at Stolen Saddle- Chicago’s three story country bar, complete with a mechanical bull and music stage. Hitting the stage on the Fourth, is Byrdie Wilson, playing at 4 pm. Then at night, at 10 pm, Bootleggers will take the stage! Giddy up on over to Stolen Saddle for great food, drinks, and fun.
Tin Roof
Tin Roof is a live music joint, serving great bar fare, cocktails, cold beer, and good fun vibes. On the Fourth, Byrdie Wilson is playing from 10:30 pm to 2:30 am! Come dance the night away after the firework celebrations are over.

Lady Gaga Independance Bottomless Drag Brunch at Lark
Let’s play a love game this weekend. Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 3 pm, Lark is hosting a Gaga brunch!
