The Belmont Sheffield Music Festival returns for its 41st anniversary as the official kickoff to summer! Join us at Belmont and Sheffield for three days of dancing, drinks, bites, and sing-along summer hits. Taking over Memorial Day Weekend, Friday, May 22 through Sunday, May 24, Sheffield Street transforms into a vibrant festival experience. With two stages of nonstop live music, dozens of food vendors serving up fresh, hot favorites, and a curated mix of local vendors offering apparel, accessories, candles, pet goods, and more, it’s the perfect way to shake off winter and step into summer.

How to Get Here

The festival kicks off right at the intersection of Belmont and Sheffield. This is located directly under the Belmont CTA station! Get off at the Belmont stop on the Red, Purple, or Brown line, and you’ll end up right at the fest.

Bus Routes:

#77 Belmont – runs east/west along Belmont Ave and stops right at the Belmont Station

#22 Clark – runs north/south on Clark St, about a 1–2 minute walk

#8 Halsted – runs north/south on Halsted St, about a 3–5 minute walk

#36 Broadway – stops along Broadway, just east of the Belmont Station

Please be advised that the Belmont Sheffield Music Festival will take place May 22–24, 2026 on Sheffield Avenue from Belmont to Roscoe.

Tow Notice

Residents and businesses should be aware that the City of Chicago will tow vehicles from the festival area during the following dates and times:

Friday, May 22 at 12:00 AM through Monday, May 25 at 6:00 AM

  • N School St, 900–1038
  • N Sheffield Ave, 3200–3400

Saturday, May 23 at 7:00 AM through Sunday, May 24 at 11:59 PM

  • N Wilton Ave, 3200–3252
    (west curb lane closure only)

Q: How much does it cost to go to the fest?

A: An optional $10 donation will be asked upon entry. Your contribution directly supports the festival’s vibrant musical performances and plays a significant role in community beautification efforts. A portion of the proceeds goes towards neighborhood improvement projects, such as enhancing public spaces, creating green areas, and promoting art installations. Your donation helps transform our community into an even more visually appealing and inviting place for residents and visitors to enjoy. Q: Is this event dog friendly?

A: YES! We love seeing your pups at the fest, just make sure they are leashed.

Q: Can you bring outside alcohol into the fest?

A: No. There is security at the gates checking bags, and for general public safety, outside alcohol can not be brought into the festival. There are multiple bars selling alcohol at the festival. IDs will be checked.
