Chicago Restaurant Week 2022: Lakeview East Participants
From March 25 to April 10, restaurants all over Chicago will participate in Chicago Restaurant Week 2022. For 17 days, the chosen restaurants will provide special prix fixe menus. The pricing for the meals are $25 for brunch or lunch, and $39 and/or $55 dinner. This price excludes beverages, tax, gratuity, and delivery fees. Below are the Lakeview East restaurants that have been chosen to participate in this special event.
El Mariachi Tequila Bar & Grill has been family owned and operated for more than 20 years, offering more genuine and unique experiences than your typical Mexican restaurant. Favorites include handcrafted premium margaritas, over 100 tequilas (100% Blue Agave), and famous tableside guacamole prepared with a unique avocado oil.
Since Restaurateur and Chef Scott Harris opened the doors to the original Mia Francesca location on North Clark Street in 1992, this restaurant has been a Lakeview East tradition. This small, welcoming trattoria offers handwritten menus of classic Italian favorites in an ambiance of casual sophistication, where simple food with quality ingredients and thoughtful service make a meal.
Matisse Tavern and Grill is a neighborhood Gastropub that has an extensive menu of American-style cuisine. The fireplace and cozy lounge makes for an contemporary-casual atmosphere. They have a full-service bar and seasonal wine list.
At Hutch American Bistro, you’ll find a neighborhood restaurant where you can enjoy great cocktails, an extensive wine list, and a menu for everyone. Signature dishes at Hutch include slow cooked baby back ribs, lobster nachos, and double cut pork chops.
Tanuki Sushi is a Japanese and Thai restaurant that presents dishes that are both authentic and contemporary by chef and owner Wisarn Kovitsophon, since 2013. Each dish is delicately chosen, created with the finest ingredients and raw materials, then meticulously garnished with innovative intentions.
Select Cut Steakhouse is a family owned and operated Lakeview East staple that’s been around since 1994. Featuring only high-end Choice Beef, these steaks never disappoint! Plus, the famous burger was featured in the Top 5 Burgers by the Chicago Tribune. Enjoy the finest selection of seafood, ribs, and chicken that round out the menu and make for an All-American meal
Located in the Northalsted neighborhood of Lakeview East, Wood has been providing an upscale casual dining experience since its inception. Their plates focus on “local farm produce, house-butchered meats, house-made pastas, charcuterie, and flatbreads from the wood-fired oven.” Wood has proven that it’s a staple in the Lakeview East Neighborhood.
Smylie Brothers is a craft brewery and smokehouse that opened in 2021! They have excellent BBQ food and a wide range of house-made beers that are so tasty, you might have to try them all. Their in-house brewing system can be seen on display throughout the restaurant, so you know you’ll have the freshest brews around!
Located in the heart of Wrigleyville, Swift and Sons Tavern and Oyster Bar serves approachable meat and seafood dishes. Their surf and turf options guarantees there will be something for everyone, and you will leave full but craving more!
El Nuevo Mexicano Restaurant has been serving authentic Mexican food in the Lakeview East community since 1983, offering a wide variety of dishes including Carne Asada en salsa molcajete, Salmon en chipotle con duraznos, Pollo Asado en salsa molcajete and Camarones de coco. The menu is sure to please every palette. Elfego & Tere Rodriguez passed the apron strings to their niece, Maria Rodriguez, who has expanded three times, updated the interior, as well as the menu, and has branched out to vegetarian and vegan cuisine. Open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner, El Nuevo Mexicano has a private party room, a spacious outdoor patio, and a full-service bar.
