Lakeview East Businesses & Neighbors,

At around 6pm on Friday, May 15th the daughter of Nita Tanner from Ms. T’s Southern Fried Chicken, Bijan Choya Early, was deliberately struck with the car of a Grubhub driver, who was asked to wait outside the restaurant due to Covid-19 guidelines.

The driver fled the scene and eventually turned himself in. Grubhub issued a statement that they are cooperating with police and terminated the Driver’s contract.  You can read more information here about the hit-and-run.

Bijan is currently in the ICU with severe injuries and has gone through several surgeries already.

Anyone that knows Bijan and Ms. T knows that they are some of the kindest people in the Lakeview East Community. We want to do whatever it takes to help their family during this time.

The Lakeview East Community Partnership is gathering donationsfor Bijan and Ms. Tanner’s family for any extraordinary expenses they might incur during this time. The fundraiser is approved by the family and we are in communication with them. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the family.
Thank you & Stay Safe,
The Lakeview East Community Partnership
