Migrants have been staying at the 19th District Police Station since April 2023. They organize and work closely with LakeView Lutheran Church, Saint Mary of the Lake & Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, The Salvation Army, Centro Romero, the Offices of the 44th, 46th, and 47th wards and volunteers to support the 19th precinct and plan for sustained support as new temporary shelters are opened in the area.
