It’s that time of year again, Pride Month! Where everything is a little more colorful, music and life fill the streets and we honor our neighborhood and all of our vibrant LGBTQ+ businesses. We are proud to support our local neighborhood businesses that contribute so much to the LGBTQ+ community, and we’ve compiled a list of all the amazing specials to help you celebrate Pride Month while shopping locally.

PRIDE PARADE AND FEST INFO

The 51st annual Chicago Pride Parade kicks off at noon on Sunday, June 26 at Montrose Avenue and Broadway in the Uptown area and marches through the city’s Boystown neighborhood. The parade travels across the city’s north side, culminating near the intersection of Diversey Parkway and Sheridan Road in Lincoln Park.

The Second City Outlaws are an organization sponsored by Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce that takes great PRIDE in being a Mainstream Country Dancing Performing Group that is OPEN and Inclusive to ALL Country Dancers regardless of age, race or gender identity throughout Chicagoland.

Walk with Chicago Sugar Daddy at Pride Parade

Walk with Chicago Sugar Daddies at Pride & show support to another local LGBTQIA+ organization that they are supporting and/or donate so they can continue their awesome initiatives in promoting equality and inclusion! Reach out to the Daddies here to sign up to walk with them! They are also releasing their Sugar Daddy Tees this month and proceeds go to the Asian and Friends Chicago organization.

Epic Kitchens is inviting all of their customers to donate to a local LGBTQ+ group during Pride Month. Epic Kitchens will give you a coupon code for 20% off your next order for every donation made.

Epic Kitchens will also be hosting an all day Pride Parade party and they have a lot planned for you for the day. Lots gifts, activities, food and fun!

They have also partnered with some businesses in the area for some fun giveaways!

Family-owned for nearly 70 years, The Bagel sits on the parade route at the corner of Broadway and Barry and is proudly LGBTQ+ Owned. The classic Jewish deli makes steaming hot oatmeal, lox and fried matzos just like Bubbe. Stop in before, during, and after the parade as they’re right on the route and are open from 8AM – 9PM parade day!

Come ‘brunch’ with Swift and Sons on the weekends and enjoy exclusive sweets from their pride pastry basket featuring four new desserts through the end of June.

Additionally, $1 from their pastry basket will be donated to Howard Brown Health!⁠

Drew’s on Halsted will be hosting a full lineup of cabaret shows all throughout pride weekend. Relax on their tucked-away patio and enjoy a cold drink while listening to some incredible live music!

WHERE TO DRINK

In honor of Pride Month, The Graystone Tavern in Wrigleyville will host a month-long fundraiser for the nearby Center on Halsted. For $35, guests can enjoy a Rainbow Shot Flight, solo or with friends, featuring six shots colored red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet. A portion of proceeds from all Rainbow Shot Flights lights sold in June will be donated to Center on Halsted, the Midwest’s most comprehensive community center dedicated to advancing community and securing the health and well-being of LGBTQ Chicagoans.

Local LGBTQ+ Friendly and Owned bar Shaker’s on Clark recently reopened! Sip on their colorful collection of 21 different flavored Long Island Iced Teas and Martinis! This neighborhood bar is for everyone, so whether you’re looking to relax and play some pool or get things started with a few drinks for the evening, you’re going to want to stop by this brand new neighborhood bar!

The Closet is the perfect place in Chicago for a drink in a cozy gay/lesbian setting. From video bowling, darts, bingo, karaoke nights, and other assorted games, you will scarcely run out of things to do. The Closet is one of the oldest LGBTQ+ Bars in the neighborhood and for pride month, every Saturday from 8PM to 10PM they will have live music and LGBTQ+ performers!

Berlin

 

Get your wristbands to party all weekend long at Berlin! Weekend wristband passes include entry to Berlin Nightclub on June 24th, 25th, and 26th. Save $10 on entry for the entire weekend!

WHERE TO PARTY

Kit Kat is hosting a VIP Pride Fest Weekend! All tickets include entrance to the VIP dance patio at Kit Kat Lounge, as well as a full bar and easy views of the Waveland DJ stage. Get your tickets now before they’re all gone.

Houndstooth Saloon will be hosting a Pour Decisions Drag Brunch on June 25th.

There will be raffle tickets available for purchase and proceeds go to benefit Life is Work.

Join D.S Tequila during the Chicago Pride Parade! Each ticket includes access to their patio directly on the parade route, tex-mex brunch buffet, and mimosa package from 11am-1pm.

Happy Camper will be doing drink pouches all weekend for Pride and they will also be having Spice Girls F*ckin’ Bingo on June 21st at 7pm. It’s a $10 suggested donation to play that will be benefiting YEPP (Youth Empowerment Performance Project.)
