Happy Pride Month! In June, everything is a little more colorful, music and life fill the streets and we honor our neighborhood and all of our vibrant LGBTQ+ businesses. We are proud to support our local neighborhood businesses that contribute so much to the LGBTQ+ community, and we’ve compiled a list of all the amazing specials to help you celebrate Pride Month locally.


The 53rd annual Chicago Pride Parade steps off at noon on Sunday, June 30th, from Montrose and Broadway in the Uptown neighborhood. The parade treks (map) through the city’s north side, ending near the intersection of Diversey Parkway and Sheridan Road in Lincoln Park.

Pride Fest: Hosted by the Northalsted Business Alliance, this epic two-day extravaganza transforms Chicago’s Northalsted neighborhood into a vibrant celebration of love and diversity. Each year, nearly 60,000 spirited partygoers descend upon the iconic Boystown to join in the festivities. Expect three electrifying music stages with top-notch headliners, over 100 arts and crafts vendors showcasing their creativity, mouthwatering eats from local hotspots, dazzling drag shows, pulsating DJ sets, non-stop dancing, and so much more. It’s the ultimate pride party you don’t want to miss!

Lark is a friendly and fun restaurant perfect for date night, groups, weekday dinner or weekend brunch. At Lark, everyone is welcome. During the weekend, join Lark for their lively drag shows and rotating weekly entertainment! Other nights of the week they host fun events like Drag Race watch parties, taco Tuesdays, karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights, and spaghetti Sundays!

Roscoe’s is an entertaining gay bar and restaurant with a welcoming environment for anyone and everyone. Whether you come to get a drink, dance all night or grab a bite there’s something for everyone.

Sidetrack | 3349 N Halsted St

Restaurants Benefitting LGBTQ+ Non-Profits During June

Head over to Cesar’s Killer Margarita and order a Pride-rita! Order this delicious and colorful margarita, and proceeds will be donated to Howard Brown Health, who provide expert care to the LGBTQ+ community and their allies, regardless of your ability to pay.

Throw some sprinkles on it! During the entire month of June, you can add sprinkles to any milkshake for just .50¢. Proceeds will go towards PFLAG National.Founded in 1973, PFLAG is the first and largest organization dedicated to supporting, educating, and advocating for LGBTQ+ people and their families.”

Enjoy a drink and make a difference! Throughout June, when you purchase a “Panic at the Pisco” or a spirit-free “Bitter Summer Nights”, a portion of the proceeds will support the  The Center on Halsted!

Wake ‘n Bacon will donate a portion of proceeds from every Halo Halo Chia Chia sold for the month to the Broadway Youth Center. The Halo Halo Chia Chia is $15 and features coconut chia pudding topped with seasonal fresh fruits, and coconut jelly, and sprinkled with fruity pebbles.

Broadway Youth Center offers comprehensive services to youth, ages 12-24 including a safe space for young people experiencing homelessness. The mission of BYC is to make life healthier and happier for young people who are transgender, queer, lesbian, bisexual, gay, and especially young people who do not have stable housing.

New in 2024, The Lanzaga is an LGBTQ+ owned South American restaurant on Broadway! This BYOB restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or if you feel like coming in for a delicious coffee. With some of the best empanadas in Chicago, and a really friendly team, The Lanzaga is an incredible restaurant to visit all year long.

Sugar Daddy is serving up ALL the rainbows this Pride month! Get rainbow cupcakes, cake slices, and get pride flag and trans flag cookies! “The Daddies will stand with our LGBTQIA+ community, always and forever.”

Men’s Room Chicago offers fetish gear, leather harnesses, handcuffs, underwear, sex toys, and more! They also have a full-operating barbershop in the shop, with a team of trained professionals.

Jennivee’s Bakery sells some of the best cupcakes and cakes in Chicago! Owned by Jenne Vailoces, a proud Filipino trans woman, Jennivee’s is open late so you can get your sweet tooth craving in anytime of day!

Richard Dayhoff

Richard Dayhoff is a local clothing designer, who sells high-end male underwear. In the world of high-fashion apparel, the name Richard Dayhoff is synonymous with elegant simplicity.

SWAY is the first queer and BIPOC-owned dispensary brand in Illinois and a continuation of a long history of our communities fighting for cannabis equity. Just opened in 2024, SWAY into your new favorite dispensary.

The Closet

Having been open since 1978, this tiny, unpretentious lesbian & gay bar features dancing, games & karaoke! Open till 4 am every day (and till 5 am on Saturdays) The Closet keeps the party going on Broadway.

Ingmar James is traditional yet current, upscale yet unpretentious, professional yet laid-back. They aspire to both meanings of the word “salon”: a place for beauty and also a place for friends to meet, relax, and discuss the day’s events. The talented team is full of hair perfectionists! In his early 20s, Thomas Tunney bought Lake View’s venerable Ann Sather Restaurant in 1981, expanded it, and has made it into a virtual community center for lesbian and gay Chicagoans and older adults. Still standing strong 43 years later, Ann Sathers is a Chicago staple with three locations, two of which are in Lakeview East!

Located at 3347 N Broadway, this Antique shop is loaded with gorgeous antqiues that any collector could admire! Stop by and pick up something beautiful for your home, or as a great gift.

Unlike many Chicago speakeasies, Buzzed does not go to great lengths to hide its dual identity. It is simply a hair salon that also boasts a beautiful craft cocktail bar. During the day, patrons can sip original or classic cocktails made with only fresh ingredients and premium spirits while getting their hair done, or they can just sit at the bar without committing to a hair appointment. After the salon closes, the curtains are drawn, the lights are dimmed, and the music is turned up, transforming the space into a late-night cocktail lounge.

Pride Centered Events

Trans Ice Cream Social: The Center on Halsted is throwing a Trans Ice Cream Social on Tuesday, June 11th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm! Celebrate trans pride with free ice cream provided by Jeni’s Ice Creams! Happening rain or shine at 3656 N Halsted

Randall Hopkins Art & Antiques Pride Open House: You’re invited to Randall Hopkins Art & Antiques Pride Open House, on Thursday, June 13th from 7 to 9 pm! They will be featuring many new items from England. Come by, browse antique English art, furniture, brass, and silver from the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries!

Chicago Queer Creations Pop-Up: Plant Stand Collective is hosting a Chicago Queer Creations Pop-Up on June 15th from 11 am to 6 pm! Leo is the owner and operator of Chicago Queer Creations- an LGBTQ+ small business specializing in handmade ceramics. Each piece is wheel thrown or hand built, underglaze, fired in the kiln to ~1800*F, glazed again, then fired again in the kiln up to ~2400*F. It’s a labor of love, and the process takes about a week per piece. Each piece is one of a kind and never replicated the same. Thanks for supporting a small queer-owned business.

Pride Trivia Night: Wednesday night trivia is always free at Lost Never Found! On Wednesday, June 19th, the themed trivia for the evening is Pride. It starts at 7 pm, and first, second, and third place wins a prize! Specials for the night include $4 high noons, $6 Casamigos shots, $7 frozens, and half-off pizzas!

LGBTQ+ Mixer: Cuddle Bunny is hosting a LGBTQ+ Gender Blender Mixer on Wednesday, June 26th from 7 pm to 8:30 pm. “Join us for a community-building mixer for our LGBTQ+ friends. We’ll kick things off with some light-hearted icebreakers to make finding new friends and ~flirtations~ fun and effortless. An hour of chillin’ with our sweet bunnies will also be part of the mix. We will provide light snacks and beverages.” Register here!

Chicago Queer History Speak Out: Foursided is hosting Chicago’s Queer History Speak Out. “Come join us on Thursday, June 27th, 2024 at 6:00 PM at Foursided Lakeview, 2958 N Clark St for an evening of storytelling and celebration of Chicago’s rich queer history brought to you by Foursided and Chicago for Chicagoans. This in-person event will feature local historians sharing the milestones that have shaped the LGBTQ+ community in our city. Whether you’re a long-time resident or new to Chicago, this event is a great opportunity to connect with others, learn about the struggles and triumphs of the queer community, and celebrate our shared history together. Pride Month Artist’s Market and Raffle: The Chicago Diner is hosting a Pride Month Artist’s Market on Saturday, June 29th from 10 am to 3 pm at the Lakeview location. There will be local artists, a tarot reader, & raffle benefiting the GSA network. ⁠Raffle tickets will be $5 each & all proceeds will go to GSA Network, which supports & educates Gender & Sexualities clubs on school campuses.

Pride Parade Weekend Events

Rainbow Tour Northalsted Pride Bar Crawl

Saturday, June 29th, 1 to 7 pm

The Northalsted Business Alliance is hosting a Pride Bar Crawl the day before the Pride Parade! Gather at Sidetrack, Starting at 1 PM. Join your team and set out for an afternoon of “Touring the Rainbow.” All participants will receive a shirt and exclusive Pride swag at each location!

Pride Drag Dinner at Lost Never Found

Saturday, June 29th at 8 pm

Pregame for the Pride Parade on Saturday night! Lost Never Found is hosting a Drag Dinner, with Rachel Slurrz, Siren, Squeaky Banks, Sangria Whine, Yur Unkle and Anya K Thunderkat. Pride Parade Karaoke Party

Let’s get shaking! Shakers on Clark is hosting a Chicago Pride Parade Karaoke Party on parade day. Because of how busy they anticipate the neighborhood being, you must RSVP in advance to come! There is NO CHARGE to RSVP, and the party is from 2 to 6 pm.

Lesbian Social Club After Parade Party

Sunday, June 30th 4 to 9pm

Located steps from the Chicago Pride Parade come witness this epic day party collaboration between @TheLesbianSocialClub & @PeachPresents at Brickhouse in Wrigley Field. This is a full-venue, private event powered by the Lesbian Social Club and Peach Presents. There will be DJs spinning, drinks flowing, and a full service kitchen open. Tickets are on sale now!

Queer Comedians to Watch Comedy Showcase
