Happenings In Town After the Fest

Chicago’s Best Stand Up at the Laugh Factory, 11:30 pm: After you’ve spent all day dancing at the fest, make the short walk over to The Laugh Factory. Starting at 11:30 pm, get ready to laugh with some of the best stand up comedians in the city! Click here for tickets

Live Rock Band at Tin Roof Wrigleyville: Nashville rockers Stranger Boy are coming to light up the Tin Roof stage! Starting at 9:30 pm, you have time to watch the Belmont Sheffield headliner close the show out at 10 pm, and still catch plenty of live jams at Tin Roof. After Stranger Boy, DJ Nabss will close out.

Smartbar b2b Sets: Chicago’s famous basement club Smartbar, has back to back artists playing Friday night. Lineup for the evening in Matthew Dear, Juan Macean, and Harry Cross. Tickets are $20-$25 in advance, and will be $25 at the door! Doors are at 10 pm.

Americana Memorial Day Weekend Drag Brunch at Kit Kat Lounge: Kit Kat Divas Shantell D’Marco and Angelicia Maria invite you to a summer sing-a-long drag brunch! There’s three seating times: 10:30 am, 1pm, and 3:15 pm, giving you PLENTY of time to come to the fest before and after brunch! Tickets include a three course prix fixe brunch, and Free flowing brunch drinks: Mimosas, Bellinis, Sangria, Bloody Mary Martinis, 1800 Tequila Skinny Margaritas, and Vodka Spritzers!

The Hot Bit@# Party at Smartbar: Don’t miss the party at Smartbar, with doors at 10 pm! Featuring Amarji King, Miss B aven, Ranee Veri Peri and hosted by Alex Jenny, Kenzie Couleé, Helvetikah Blak, Boo Boo Kitty F, and DreamDoll. Tickets are $15 – $20 in advance, and $20 in at the door!

Pre-Memorial Day Party at Kirkwood: Located just two blocks down from the fest, Kirkwood is throwing a Pre-Memorial Day Party starting at 11 am! Specials for the day include:

Stars & Sparkles Kids Nail Party: There’s a new nail salon in town, and to introduce themselves to the neighborhood, they are throwing a Stars & Sparkles kids nail party! Ay Beauty is located at 3343 N Broadway, and from noon to 1:30 pm, come by for manicures, sparkles, crafts, treats, and fun for everyone! For kids: Patriotic themed nail masterclass, glittery mini manicures, craft table, red white and blue photo zone. For parents, regular manicures are $25 and regular pedicures are $35!

WOOGMS Memorial Day Parade: Lakeview’s longest-running tradition, the WOOGMS Memorial Day Parade, is returning. Since 1963 this family and pet-friendly event has delighted our neighborhood, a parade where ‘Everybody Marches and Nobody Watches.’ Bring your strollers and scooters and join the Jesse White Drum Corps on a fun march around the neighborhood. Watch the fabulous tumblers perform at the end of the parade! Everyone is welcome to this fun family-friendly event!

Barcocina: Barcocina is open for Labor Day Brunch! From 11 am to 3 pm, enjoy your day off with a $60 brunch package.

El Mariachi Tequila Bar and Grill: Celebrate Memorial Day with bottomless brunch! For just $19.99 enjoy bottomless mimosas with the purchase of an entrée. Craving something stronger?
