Ann Sather for breakfast is never, ever a bad idea and this Friday is no different. Originating in 1945 and opening up right here in Chicago by the real Ann Sather herself, (yes, that one) this diner has seen it all and remained a cherished piece of Chicago history and cuisine! Although best known for their gooey cinnamon rolls, Ann Sather can cook up a mean hotcake as well. The pancake on the menu is a thinner, Swedish style cake with lingonberries drizzled on top. Plated to perfection.
