
Weekend Happenings May 20 – 22
May has been stacked with celebrations, graduations, and perfect picnic weather. Last weekend we had our first Dine on Broadway event, and it was such a success! Mark your calendars for the next one, happening June 8-10th.
Also, next weekend is the Belmont Sheffield Music Festival! Be sure to stop by all day Saturday and Sunday, and enjoy live music, food vendors, and tons of summer fun! We can not wait for this one.

Live Music at Smoke Daddy

Feed your soul this weekend. Smoke Daddy has been serving fresh hot BBQ to Chicago since 1994, and this weekend they invite you to come treat yourself to some good eats accompanied by good music. Since this week is stacked with Cubs home games, Smoke Daddy has shows starting bright and early for your pregame. Here is the weekend lineup:

Cruise, Queers on Bikes
Meeting at Replay Lakeview

Replay in Lakeview is sponsoring a new Chicago event, Cruise: Queers on Bikes. This Saturday is the first ride! Meeting at 12:30 pm at Replay, the route will take you along the Lakefront trail to the infamous Buckingham Fountain. Enjoy all the Chicago views with folks from all around the area. Afterwords, mingle and enjoy some well-deserved cocktails back at Replay.
This event is free! We’ll see you on the trail!

Dryhop Anniversary Party

Lakeview East’s very own Dryhop Brewery is celebrating their 9 year anniversary this Friday! Come cheers to 9 years. Dryhop has invited every brewer from DryHop’s history to celebrate the first brew day. Stop by any time today to toast your favorite DryHop Brewers, see the brewing process and learn about the 9th Anniversary Brew! This event is the perfect way to end Craft Beer Week.

Drag Race All Stars Viewing Parties
For Drag Race fans, this upcoming season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars is the one we have been waiting for. Watch the first ever all winner season at these viewing parties, and enjoy specials in honor of the Drag Race Superbowl.

Lark Chicago is hosting a viewing party with happy hour specials! Come in any time between 5 – 7 pm for $4 Bud Light $5 Select Red / White Wine $6 Well Cocktails. Then, stay for the viewing party!

Roscoe’s Tavern is also participating in the All Stars excitement! Join their viewing party sponsored by House of Love Cocktails & Mocktails. Aquaria and The Vixen are the guests of the evening, who will aslso be performing! Roscoes will have the sound cranked up during the viewing so you don’t miss one second of the All-Stars drama. The fun begins at 7 pm.

Walking Group

Get moving this Sunday! Third Space is hosting their first ever Walking Group, starting at 7:20 am. Walk three miles with the group, from Third Space to the Montrose Bird Sanctuary and back. The event should take about an hour and a half total. Join for a brisk walk and enjoy the beauty of Lake Michigan in the morning while building some new connections.

Game On

End the weekend with a little friendly competition. Bonus Round Café invites first timers, veterans, and everything in between to play Warhammer: Kill Team this Sunday night. “Kill Team is a fast-paced combat game played using a handful of miniature figures.” Everything needed to play will be provided for, all you need to bring is yourself! Grab a drink, roll some dice, and blow up some toy soldiers from space.
It costs $7 per person to play.

Britney Brunch

Don’t be toxic. This Saturday and Sunday morning, Lark Chicago heard you say “gimmie more” and they delivered. From 11 am to 3pm, enjoy bottomless Mimosas, Bloody Mary’s, Sangria, and Bellini packages for a Britney Brunch! Chicago’s Pixel The Queen will be performing all your favorite Britney hits, this event was Born to Make You Happy. Missing out on this event would be absolutely Criminal.

Lucius: Feels Like Second Nature Tour
3730 N. Clark St
Indie pop band Lucious will be performing at The Metro this Friday night! Their new album Second Nature was released on April 8th and now Midwest fans have the opportunity to see hits from the album performed live!
Doors open at 7 pm and the show begins at 8 pm. General admission is $35 a ticket, or $99 for VIP.
