Woogms Parade Returns
Meet at the corner of Pine Grove and Wellington
The Woogms Parade is Back! WOOGMS stands for Wellington Oakdale Old Glory Marching Society, a group formed 50 years ago by late Chicago PR executive Al Weisman. They march every Memorial Day and Labor Day. Everybody Marches, Nobody Watches! This is a family-friendly event, so bring your kids and even your dogs!
At 11 am on Memorial Day we will meet at the corner of Pine Grove and Wellington in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago’s north side. Join your friends and neighbors as we celebrate our freedom and remember those who have served our great nation. Led by the beats of the Jesse White Drum Corps, march down Wellington, Barry, Sheridan, and Diversey before finishing on the lawn of St. Joseph’s Hospital. Once there enjoy the high-flying spectacle of the Jesse White Tumbling Team.
This is a great tradition that is fun for the whole family. Get your extra steps in this weekend!
No RSVP is needed! Just bring yourself, some loved ones, and your walking shoes!
