LUMA8 & the Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce presents
WrigleyWhoVille!
Wednesday, December 6, 2023, from 5:30 pm to 9 pm
Meet at Moe’s Cantina, 3518 N Clark, Chicago at 5:30 pm
The lantern procession will take place from 6-7 pm!
Join us for the WINTERGLOW Lantern Walk and Sing-a-Long, followed by holiday karaoke! We’ll meet at Moe’s Cantina at 5:30 pm where you can enjoy a holiday cocktail – and even grab a lantern to participate in the procession!
The sing-a-long procession will feature large-scale spectacle lanterns by artist Heather Killian of Rogue Llama, as well as a variety of smaller lanterns by artists Lenny and Frank Melto.
Our friends from the BYOB Supper Club will be joining us in full WhoVille regalia – and the sing-a-long will be led by a quartet from Beaux & Belles Carolers.
We’ll return to Moe’s at approx. 6:45 for a Whoville finale by the Beaux & Belles quartet – followed by Holiday Karaoke until 9 pm.
WhoVille and Grinch-inspired costumes are encouraged – and feel free to create your own lantern to add to the procession!
Founded in 2017, LUMA8’s goal is to create conversations about Chicago that are heard around the world through unique cultural events and experiences, often using light and scale as tools, and to develop innovative ways to amplify the effect of existing arts initiatives. Our signature event is the Arts in the Dark parade – an event that celebrates Halloween as the “artist’s holiday” and takes place on historic State Street. For WrigleyWhoVille, they’ve created giant holiday lanterns! See below for photos from their previous events, and prepare for the magic they’re bringing to Wrigleyville on December 6th!
