It’s a good time to be a beer lover in Chicago! May 13th through May 20th is Craft Beer Week! Bars, breweries and restaurants are here to celebrate with special deals and events all week long. We’ll cheers to that! Here is where you can go to celebrate in the area.

Friday, May 20 DHB 9th Anniversary Brew Day. Dryhop has invited every brewer from DryHop’s history to celebrate the ninth anniversary of the first brew day at DryHop. Stop by any time today to toast your favorite DryHop Brewers, see the brewing process and learn about the 9th Anniversary Brew!

Lucky Dorr

Located in Caretaker’s Way, less than 20 feet from Wrigley Field, Lucky Dorr fields a unique collection of one-off collaboration brews from local breweries. Lucky Dorr was conceived, created, and managed by Folkart. This tucked away little spot off Gallagher Way is one that you won’t want to miss!

On Sunday, May 15th, head over to Lucky Dorr for a Meet The Brewers event! Alarmist Brewing, Great Central Brewing Company, Lo Rez Brewery and Taproom, and Maplewood Brewing and Distillery will be in attendance. ALL beers from ALL the featured breweries will be $8! The event takes place from 6 – 8 pm.

Lucky Dorr is proudly pup friendly, so whether you stop by on your nightly walk with your furry friend or want to beat the heat and sip a cold beer on their patio, they’re sure to have an incredible line up for craft beer week!

Greenstar Brewing

3800 N. Clark

Greenstar is the FIRST certified organic brewing company in Illinois! All their beer is certified organic, vegan, AND gluten-free. Located at Uncommon Ground, guests can order from their full menu, and some nights there’s live music. There’s always an inclusive list of beers in rotation, from double IPAs to dark lagers, there is truly something for everyone. Those who live a vegan or gluten-free life can enjoy craft beer week at Greenstar without worrying about their dietary restrictions. Plus, their lush streetside patio is wonderful for soaking up some of this incredible pre-summer heat wave we are having!

Smylie Brothers Brewing Company

Smylie Brothers is a craft brewery and smokehouse that opened in 2021! They have excellent BBQ food and a wide range of house-made beers that are so tasty, you might have to try them all. The atmosphere feels like a brewery within a barn. The rustic industrial decor makes this local brewer stand out aesthetically. Their in-house brewing system can be seen on display throughout the restaurant, so you know you’ll have the freshest brews around!

Beer Under Glass

In honor of craft beer week, Beer Under Glass is back in action. This year taking place at Union Station!

“Beer Under Glass will celebrate the collaborations, partnerships, and connections that define the Illinois craft beer industry and the brewers, suppliers, and supporters who are instrumental to our community. This one-of-a-kind evening of craft beer pairs samples from more than 110 Illinois craft breweries with the history and architectural marvel of the iconic venue. Guests will go on a statewide exploration, mingling with brewers from their favorite craft beer spots as they sample timeless favorites and discover new treasures. All proceeds benefit the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild, the nonprofit trade association that supports and defends the Illinois craft beer industry.”
