This weekend, Northalsted is hosting the Annual Market Days Festival! Founded in 1982, the celebration now spans from Belmont to Addison on North Halsted St. in Chicago’s Northalsted neighborhood – America’s first recognized gay village and a Chicago LGBTQ+ historic landmark. Back by popular demand is Houndstooth’s Pour Decisions Drag Brunch! Saturday morning, pregame for Market Days by attending a drag show, filling up on brunch, and sipping $18 bottomless mimosas. Hosted by the beautiful Platinum Carrington and XO Carrington with special guests Bambi Banks-Coulee, Aria Hard, and Eve the Bunny, it would be a poor decision NOT to attend! This year, our favorite arcade bar is going all out for Market Days. The Super Smash Summer Bash is Replay’s new Market Days outdoor extravaganza and will feature its own bar, photo booth area, and a stage highlighting some of the best DJs and electrifying performers! DJs will be spinning from noon until 8 pm, with after-party DJs starting around 10. Join the party and get your tickets in advance!
Sidetrack

Sidetrack is so ready for this year’s Market Days, they’re starting the celebration early. This Thursday night is Let’s Go Thursdays, and SCRUFF will be at Sidetrack with swag giveaways and more. Watch Go-Go Dancers, play Games, and host Alex Kay will be there to ensure you’re having a good time. The SCRUFF party will be from 9 pm – 2 am. Friday night, Sidetrack is hosting TGIF Show Tunes from 3 to 8 pm, and then a dance party from 8 pm to 2 am. Saturday and Sunday Sidetrack is opening early at 11 am! Enjoy no cover all weekend long.

How does a two-day Drag Extravaganza sound? Our friends at Lark are throwing a party Saturday and Sunday from noon to 7 pm, with performances by Pixel, Venus Carangi, and Lila Star! DJ Ricky Sixx will be hosting a dance party Saturday night from 10 pm to 1 am for all you night owls who are looking for a Market Days after-show. First come first serve.

Are you feeling groovy baby? Hydrate is hosting a flower power themed party all weekend long in honor of Market Days this year. This Halsted hotspot will have live in-house DJs every day and night, to keep you energized and dancing. Music will go until closing every night, which is 4 am Friday and Sunday and until 5 am Saturday! They are anticipating a large crowd, so Hydrate is offering VIP passes for easy access. Avoid the chaos of waiting in line and grab your pass before they sell out!

You don’t need a passport to visit Berlin Nightclub. Friday night, Berlin is hosting STRAPPED, a monthly party that celebrates lesbian and lesbian-adjacent people. Tickets to STRAPPED are just $10 and features some of Chicago’s premiere drag performers and cutting-edge DJs. THE Saturday Night Drag Show is from 10 pm to 2 am on Saturday, and then end the weekend strong with Charli XCX night from 10pm-2am this Sunday!
