Cinco De Mayo Bar Crawl

Get the tequila ready! This Saturday, Moe’s Cantina and Old Crow Smokehouse are hosting a bar crawl in honor of Cinco De Mayo. Visit all your favorite Wrigleyville spots from 10 am – 6 pm, with a complimentary brunch included so you don’t party on an empty stomach. There will be contests to win prizes, gift cards to use during the crawl, and fundraising for local charities. Currently, participating bars include Old Crow, Moe’s Cantina, Deuce’s, HVAC, Country Club, Hacienda D’Suarez, and more TBA!

The cubs are taking on the Milwaukee Brewers this weekend. On Friday, Brickhouse Tavern is inviting fans to join their watch party! Cheer on the Cubbies with a lively crowd of fans, and specials available for the day.

Techno Night at Smart Bar

Friday night it’s going down at Smart Bar. Three artists will be performing throughout the night, starting with Jaq Attaque, “With 25 years of DJing under his belt, long time Chicago stalwart Rupert Murray, returns under a new project, Jaq Attaque.” Following is Justin Aulis Long who a long time Smart Bar resident, and “creates psychedelic and surreal vortexes during communal dance gatherings.” Closing the night out will be the popular Matrixxman, a techno futurist DJ who is currently touring around the globe. The fun begins at 10 pm.
Tickets are $15 in advance, and $20 at the door. Vaccine cards must be shown at the door.

Marc Maron Takes the Vic

Comedian Marc Maron has joked for the past few years that he may never return to stand up since the pandemic began. But now, fans have the chance to see him live, on his tour This Might Be The Last Time. On Friday night, Maron will be performing at The Vic here in Chicago. Whether you recognize him from the hit Netflix series Glow, or you listen to his landmark podcast WTF With Marc Maron (which averages over 6 million downloads a month) now is your chance to see the New Jersey comic live.
Although we are unclear that this really WILL be the last time he does a stand-up tour, we do not want to take our chances. Tickets are still available, doors open at 6:30 and the show starts at 7:30.

KOTA The Friend will play The Metro

Brooklyn rapper Kota The Friend is taking over The Metro Friday night! He released his latest album Lyrics To Go, Vol. 3 on January 14th, 2022. Kota takes pride in providing authentic and original content, backed up by mellow and lo-fi beats. What sets Kota aside from the rest, is his decision to stay an independent artist. “Positive reviews and press buzz came quickly, but Kota decided early on to stay independent. He would turn down offers from major labels multiple times over the next few years opting for a D.I.Y approach that offered him creative control.”
Every year his following heavily increases, so don’t miss out on seeing him at an intimate venue like The Metro. Joining Kota, will be Brittney Carter, KingTray, and more.
