Chicago Restaurant Week continues, a new movie theater moved into town, and a cheesy bar crawl is taking over Wrigleyville! Let’s weekend.

Chicago Restaurant Week Continues

Chicago Restaurant Week is running until February 5th! Enjoy fantastic deals at local restaurants that are available for a limited time only. Prix fixe multi-course menus are just $25 for brunch/lunch, and $42 and/or $59 for dinner!

Mac and Cheese Crawl

The cheesiest bar crawl is coming to Wrigleyville this Saturday… The Mac and Cheese Crawl! Hop from bar to bar while enjoying seven servings of mac and cheese as well as drink specials!

So far, participating bars include Country Club, Deuce’s, HVAC Pub, Moe’s Cantina, Old Crow, Stretch, Nola, Roadhouse 66, Cubby Bear, and more TBA! The fun goes all day long, starting at 11 am and ending at 7 pm. Tickets are available here!

Alamo Drafthouse Opens First Chicago Location in Wrigleyville

Friday is the opening of the newest movie theater in town… Alamo Drafthouse! With locations all over the country, this is the first location to open up in Chicago! “Celebrating classic cinema is also something we take seriously while making sure we have a little fun along the way. Whether it’s an interactive Movie Party presentation of a timeless classic, a chef-inspired feast with a menu paired with a film, or a re-evaluation of a lost gem, we love sharing the movies we love with Alamo Drafthouse audiences of all ages.”

From opening day until February 5th, Alamo is offering 25% off select menu items. This weekend, the newest Hollywood Block Busters and some classics are showing. See flicks like Avatar: The Way of Water (2022), Candyman (1992), Thief (1983), and more!

Cubby Stock 2023

The Cubby Bear, 1059 W Addison

Did you miss the chance to go to Woodstock, or were you simply just not alive then? Well, make up for lost time this weekend! The Cubby Bear is hosting Cubby Stock ’23 which is an evening full of jamming out, dancing like nobody’s watching,  and of course some drinking! Enjoy live shows by Electric Gypsy covering Jimi Hendrix, Spirit of the Dead covering Grateful Dead, and Lizard Kings covering The Doors! Doors are at 6:30 pm and tickets are on sale now or are available at the door. It’s going to be a long strange trip.

The Metro Weekend Lineup

The Metro, 3730 N Clark 

As usual, The Metro has some great live shows this weekend.

Saturday night The Magic City Hippies are taking the stage. Established in 2015, The Magic City Hippies is A mosaic of poolside grooves and lingering, sun-kissed melodies. Tickets are on sale now for $22.50! Click here to get yours.

Sunday night The Metro is hosting Queen! Performances will be by Jessy Lanza, Michael Serafini, and Garrett David. Hosts are Lucy Stoole, Jojo Baby, and Nico. The guest host is Vanda LaRose!

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Doors open at 10 pm and the music also starts at 10 pm. Click here for tickets.

Bunny Yoga

Spice up your Sunday mornings! Moe’s Cantina is hosting a brunch party with DJs and bottomless mimosas. This isn’t your regular brunch buffet, the food featured includes Mexican pastries, chilaquiles, pozole, Carnitas, and much more! Party to some reggaetón with a mimosa in your hand!

Hydrate Nightclub is hosting Draglicious on Saturday night with a star-studded performance like no other! The host for the evening is Dida Ritz, and performances will be by Gina Belle, Mz. Ruff N’ Stuff, Sorraya Dash, and Enza! The show begins at 9 pm and there will be NO COVER!

Drag Race Viewing Party Bingo Edition

Every Friday Night, Replay in Lakeview is hosting a viewing party for season 15 of RuPaul’s Drag Race! But this isn’t your average viewing party… it’s bingo edition! Play your way through the viewing and help yourself to one of Replay’s amazing drink deals. Hosted by Sapphire Feliciano, who will be awarding prizes to the winners!
